Pregunta.- ¿Por qué optaron por Mazarrón y no otro municipio a la hora de crear la Escuela y Servicios Náuticos El Islote?
Respuesta.- Por amor a Puerto de Mazarrón, por deseo de crear, poder enraizar algo que pudiera unir mis actividades favoritas en el mar, así como cumpliendo mi sueño  de vivir aquí, he decidido crear la Escuela Náutica El islote para  hacerle llegar a todas aquellas personas que viven aquí o  nos visiten durante  todo el año pudiendo compartir con ellas toda nuestra experiencia y sabiduría.
P.- ¿Qué actividades podemos disfrutar? ¿Y servicios?
R.- Prácticamente todo lo relacionado con el mar como paseo en motos de agua, kayak, paddelsup, snorkel, pesca desde tierra, desde embarcación y submarina. Además de estudiar cualquier propuesta que se nos haga. Tenemos venta y alquiler de todo lo anteriormente expuesto además de su reparación y mantenimiento contamos con venta y alquiler de bicicletas eléctricas y convencionales así como rutas de senderismo.
    Disponemos también para el mayor disfrute y comodidad de los propietarios de motos náuticas de un proyecto ya aprobado para colocar un pantanal flotante dentro de mismo puerto deportivo para alojar 44 motos de agua, el cual viene unido a un recién creado club de motos náuticas, con el que diseñaremos travesías y jornadas de convivencia.

P.- Además sois escuela. ¿Qué clases impartís y que títulos oficiales podemos obtener?
R.- En nuestras instalaciones tenemos clase de todos los servicios anteriormente descritos, además de licencias y patronías náuticas oficiales.
P.- ¿Está enfocado a la familia, a todas las edades?
R.- Sí, en Servicios Náuticos El Islote hemos desarrollado un enfoque en el que pueda disfrutar toda la familia, desde el más atrevido, hasta el más cómodo de ellos, además y en honor a mi padre, que fue un gran pescador de caña en estas aguas y por haber sido quien nos introdujo esta fantástica pasión de la pesca siempre disfrutándola juntos y es ahora, en esta época tan difícil que toca vivir, cuando puede ser un buen referente de unión familiar. Y así lo desea el equipo humano de Escuela Náutica El islote cuando intentamos transmitir esa filosofía para poder relajarnos y disfrutar de esta aguas.
    Nuestra instalaciones fueron diseñadas en su planificación para la mayor comodidad del desarrollo y el disfrute de dichas actividades náuticas, contamos con 850m cuadrados de superficie, distribuidos en un aula, oficinas, tienda exposición, embarcadero con rampa propia, hangar para kayak y tablas, vestuarios exteriores de verano, vestuarios interiores con duchas y agua caliente para invierno, zona chillout donde poder esperar el comienzo de tu aventura o donde poder reponer fuerzas tras ellas. Tenemos zona recreativa con futbolines oficiales de competición, billares, máquina disco de aire con todo de última generación. Lista abierta para campeonato.
P.- Háblenos de sus instalaciones y material con el que trabajan, y las medidas sanitarias para la tranquilidad de todos.
R.- Dado lo importante del asunto, pues recordemos que es una pandemia y algo nunca vivido, cumplimos totalmente todas y cada una de las medidas de seguridad e higiene que viene marcadas por las autoridades pertinentes.

P.- ¿Apuestan por el turismo activo?
R.- Si, total y plenamente. Creemos que es algo muy importante a desarrollar ya que ha sido la madre naturaleza la que nos ha brindado estas magníficas playas y litorales, además de contar con unos de los mejores fondos marinos conocidos, debido a su variedad y sincronía. Además, no podemos olvidar que nuestra zona es y deberá ser compartida tanto en el ámbito de placer como en el comercial pues es la mayor fuente de ingresos de la zona y que puede atraer tanto público nacional como internacional.
    Además del desarrollo de dicho turismo activo, en Escuela y Servicios Náuticos tenemos desarrollado un proyecto para la inclusión social de toda y cada una de las personas sea cual sea su grado de discapacidad física o psíquica y seguimos en continuo aprendizaje.
    Queremos ser una gotita de ilusión y alegría para todos y cada unos de los visitantes y residentes de la zona, ya que juntos no conseguiremos acabar con dicho virus, pero si os garantizamos que os lo podemos hacer olvidar por unas horas, sin importar el estatus social pues tenemos actividades de todos precios.

El Islote Nautical School and Services´ manager explains the services this active tourism new company offers, such as jet skis, kayaking, SUP paddelboarding, snorkelling, fishing from land, from a vessel and underwater. Besides, selling and rental of electric and conventional bikes as well as trekking routes.

Question.- Why did you pick Mazarrón and no other municipality else to set up El Islote Nautical School and Services?
Answer.- for the love to Puerto de Mazarrón, for the wish to create, to be able to put down roots of something that may join my favourite activities in the sea as well as making my dream of living here come true, I´ve decided to set up El Islote Nautical School to make it get to all those people living here or that visit us along the year being able to share with them all our experience and knowledge.
Q.- Which activities can we enjoy? What about services?
A.- Virtually, everything doing with the sea such as jet ski rides, kayaking, SUP paddelboarding, snorkelling, fishing from the land, from a vessel and underwater. In addition to considering any suggestion made to us. We sell and rent all I said before, apart from the repairs and maintenance, we sell and rent electric and conventional bikes as well as running trekking routes.
    For a better enjoyment and comfort of the jet-skis owners, we also have a project, which has been already passed, to set a floating platform inside the marina to lodge 44 jet skis, which is linked to a recently created jet skis club, with which we will design trips and team-building days.
Q.- In addition, you´re a school. Which classes do you teach and which official certifications can we get?
A.- At our facilities we have classes of all the services described above, besides the issue of licenses and official nautical skippers certifications.

Q.- Is it targeted at the family, at all ages?
A.- Yes, at El Islote Nautical Services, we´ve developed an approach for all the family to enjoy, from the most daring one to the laziest of them, moreover and in honour of my father, who was a great fishing rod fisher in these waters and for having been who took us into this wonderful passion for fishing, always enjoying it together and it´s now at these tough times we are living that it may be a good reference of family union and that´s what El Islote Nautical School´s human team wishes when trying to convey that philosophy to be able to relax and enjoy this water.
    Our facilities were designed when planned for the best comfort of the development and the enjoyment of those nautical activities, we have an 850-square-metre area divided into one classroom, offices, exhibition shop, pier with its own slope, hangar for kayaks and boards, summer outdoor changing rooms, indoor changing rooms with showers and hot water for the winter, a chill-out zone to wait for your adventure to get started or to recover your energy after it. We have recreational areas with official competition foosball tables, snooker tables, air hockey tables... everything of the latest generation. Lists for championship are open.
Q.- Tell us about your facilities and material you work with, and about the healthcare measures for everybody to be safe.
A.- Given the importance of the matter, let´s remind that it´s a pandemic and something never lived before, we completely obey every single measure of safety and hygiene marked by the pertinent authorities.
Q.- Do you bet on active tourism?
A.- Yes, total and completely. We think it´s something very important to develop as it has been the mother nature who has given us these wonderful beaches and coasts, apart from having one of the best bottoms of the sea ever known, due to its variety and synchrony. Moreover, we cannot forget that our area is and must be shared in the fields of pleasure and business as it´s the biggest income source in the area and that may get to appeal both national and international public.
    In addition to the development of the mentioned active tourism, at Nautical School and Services, we´ve carried out an integration project for every single person no matter their grade of physical or psychic disability and we keep on learning continuously.
